
The 4th edition of Gamr X 4rce, one of Africa’s premier multi-title esports tournaments, lit up the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigeria on August 8, 2025. The event brought together elite gamers from across the continent, competing in some of the most popular competitive titles in the industry, while also celebrating African gaming culture in style.
The tournament drew participation from 13 African nations:
Nigeria, Somalia, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Mauritius, Sierra Leone, Angola, Kenya, Cameroon, and Namibia.
Adding to the event’s prestige, the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr Lekan Fatodu attended, delivering a welcome address and congratulating the winners, underscoring Lagos’ growing commitment to esports development.



Tournament Titles and Champions
The competition featured a diverse lineup of games, with both returning champions and fresh faces making their mark:
- Mortal Kombat 1: General Zod (Nigeria)
- Street Fighter 6: Apprentice (Nigeria) – dethroning multiple-time champion Chux
- Call of Duty Mobile (CODM): Team Sierra Seven (Nigeria)
- EAFC Women’s Division: GamerGirlNica (Ghana) – successfully defending her title
- EAFC Men’s Division: Imaji – the veteran making a triumphant comeback
The victories highlighted Nigeria’s continued dominance in multiple titles, while Ghana once again proved its pedigree in women’s EAFC competition.
